Be Vegas

So… I haven’t really blogged about what’s been happening. Not as exciting as growing another arm or acquiring spider sense, but I did go back to school.

Yes, school. You read it right. Why would anyone want to go back to school? I’ll just say I’m weird and leave you scratching your heads. Hey, you would have to admit, school was one of the best years of your life. And I have to admit I am having a blast with this school life!

But that’s not what I’m gonna write about. School means getting spring breaks as well. And I’m doing mine in Vegas! Yes, VEGAS! That’s where my family lives.

Sad thing that I can’t really parteeeh (note the tone baby). No one to go out with. Hu hu hu. Capital party place of the world, but no party for me. Sucks!

Anyway, I still get to be Vegas even without the partying. As soon as I landed, I put on my sunglasses and be one with Vegas.

Huwala! Paris Hilton, eat your heart out.

New Found Purpose

I’ve decided to post personal blog entries here as well, hoping that the readers (yep both of you) don’t mind. I’ve been thinking a lot lately on starting an English blog. Since I already have Selpong, I could just do it here and communicate with the readers as well (no matter how few).

It’s a really big change. From being just a photo blog into a “real” blog. Reality may be overrated but so far it has been surreal for me. So here we are. You’re still reading so that means you don’t mind at all. LOL!

So what am I going to talk about here. Well, life (like you haven’t have enough of it already), the reality and insanity of it probably. I promise I won’t lose the photos. I’ll still upload one whether the entry is a personal one or just a photo entry.

Speaking of which, I apologize (again) for the lack (or absence) of updates. I didn’t really stop taking phone photos. In fact, I kinda gone overboard with it with me getting an iPhone. Diverting from the original theme of this blog to not postprocess phone picture (that’s a lot of P’s), I remain true to my “mobile-ness” by sticking to postprocessing on the phone. Since I have an iPhone, I got myself a lot of apps which is a lot of fun, fun, fun!

So far I haven’t posted much iPhone photos yet. I’ll post one now. Tell me what you think (both of you).

I hope this isn’t a bad change for you. As for me, I’ve gained lots of English-reading friends (LOL) who I may not see after 7 months. This is one way of staying in touch and hoping that they read enough to comment. LOL!

Well ’til next time.

Vent Vandal

Air conditioner vent. I loved the lines of the vent and how they contrast to the chaos of the vandals on one side of the vent. I figured it might just work with a lomo effect and it did.

Pebbles of Iwakuni

Riverside Pebbles

These pebbles were shot just below the famous Iwakuni Kintai-kyou bridge. They are only ordinary pebbles but still pretty to look at as they contribute to the landscape of the river.

Read about Iwakuni and its bridge here.

Magic Cubic Aquarium

Magic Blue Cube

This cube is supposed to be some bizarre aquarium. The white spots and shapes are the fish. They float around and swim aroun like normal fish do, except when you touch the cube. They will then swim to that place and wiggle around in that area until you let go of the cube.

Neat huh? The cube become other colors as well.

You can find this cube by the JR Shinjuku west exit between the Keio mall and the Odakyu mall.

Hamamatsu Summer Sunset

Hamamatsu Summer Sunset

This was on the turtle sanctuary of the Hamamatsu beach, where endangered loggerhead turtles can safely lay their eggs. Today was one of the days the newly-hatched turtles were released to sea. We got to release them and they were soooo cute.

The eggs will hatch just before the sun sets. The sunset was beautiful. Even just using a phone camera, this beauty captured.
