Invasion of the Lantern Heads

Army of lanterns coming at ya!

These lanterns I think were donated or offered by the companies, families or individuals. Their names are written on the lanterns.

At Yasukuni Lantern Festival.

Festival fooooood! This one’s okonomiyaki. You just mixed everything plus the egg mixture until they become one big edible lump. ^^

Manong Taiko

One of the festival drummers. Each must have his/her movements in sync with each drum beat.

He’s a pro. Been drumming all his life.

Manong means big brother or old man. Taiko refers to the Japanese drums like the one you see in this picture.

Lightopia

Christmas or winter here in Tokyo usually brings about lots and lots of light-ups all over the cities.

They light up almost anything. From trees, parks to bridges, mountains and bamboos. Walang stir.

Get that Pokeball!

or not…

One of the festival games here in Japan. I think you’re suppose to scoop the balls using some thin or fragile paper scoop that dissolves in water.

Look at the balls go! One revolution I think for 2 seconds. Still pretty fast.
